What Hangs Out At Your House?

Sometimes I just bang my head against a wall trying to figure out what people will buy! Some of my art pieces I agonize over until they are just right. And I think people will love them, but don’t ever sell. While, others that took just a few minutes or an hour, everyone loves and wants to buy. And, usually these are the ones that I feel are unfinished. And, a lot of times, the least expensive.

I think that in part, this is due to the economy and what people have in their budget for themselves. You hear on the news every day that no one is parting with their money right now. We are all afraid of where this country is headed. And, has anyone noticed the price of groceries lately. Some things have tripled in price in the last year! I think a lot of us feel like Oliver Twist right now. Half starved for life, beaten down by the media, and trying to run away for a better future.

As I am one feeling this way as well, I try to remember everyone else around me. I do not want to under
price my art. But, I do want to make it affordable. And, I do want to create more affordable pieces. By doing so I can find my art can bring some sort of peace, hope, or happiness to its new owner. I love the warm and wonderful happy feeling I get when someone purchases my art then tells me how much it means to them. This motivates me to make more art that more people can buy.

So, what hangs out at your house? What art have you purchased lately? Or, what art have you done for yourself. Is it something special? Does it bring some sort of peace, hope, or happiness to you? Don’t forget about yourself, and the ones you love. If we surround ourselves with art that inspires us, we will be inspired to create more. And, as we look around at what we have and love, we can gage what others would love to have around them as well.
